Bio
A freelancer uses a four-step self-editing process
Kendall Hanson
A Victorian literature major in college, Kendall Hanson discovered he liked writing about construction and related fields. He has written more than 900 feature articles on specialized business topics.
He edited three McGraw-Hill regional trade publications before becoming a full-time freelancer. He estimates that any site he visits for a story offers the possibility for a dozen others.
Hanson shares what he's learned about freelancing in Writing for Trade Magazines, which he also published in both paper and PDF editions. Dixon-Price Publishing soon will be issuing reprints of classics that hark back to Hanson's college major.
One of the first reprints will be John MacGregor's A Thousand Miles in the Rob Roy Canoe, which "launched the modern recreational sports of canoe camping and sea kayaking."
